Gulfood 2012:

The SLFI is participating with a Lebanese pavilion in Gulfood 2012, considered to be the world’s largest annual food & hospitality show. This participation goes in line with the syndicate’s plan to promote Lebanese products and open up new markets.

FAO Regional Agro-Industries Forum:

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Ministry of Agriculture organized the Regional Agro-Industries Forum for the Middle East and North African from 15 to 18 November 2011. The Regional Agro-Industries Forum (RAIF) is committed to enhance the role of Agro-Industries through promoting the involvement of all the stakeholders in agro-food supply chains to reach food security, employment generation and sustainable economic growth in the Middle East and North African (MENA) Region.

Anuga 2011:

A Lebanese delegation of 16 companies participated in Aunga 2011, an annual gathering for food experts from around the world. In its efforts deployed to promote Lebanese products and open new markets, the SLFI participated in Anuga through a Lebanese pavilion where Lebanese products are displayed. Anuga 2011 was attended by 6,596 companies from 100 countries, which occupied a gross exhibition space of 284,000 m². Over 155,000 trade visitors from 180 countries attended Anuga 2011.

Booz Allen Hamilton Workshop:

The Consulting Company Booz Allen Hamilton and the SLFI organized a workshop that extended from September 22 to 26 entitled “REGULATORY IMPACT ANALYSIS COURSE”. The workshop covered the decision of the Ministry of Agriculture to register all food factories in order to share the syndicate’s strategy to abide by the decision and share ways to avoid the negative implications of the decision if any.

Agro-Food Lebanese Exports, Challenges and opportunities:

On September 21, 2011, the SLFI invited the members to a workshop titled "Agro-Food Lebanese Exports, Challenges and opportunities" at the Syndicate's premises in Sin El Fil.

Opportunities for Growth and increased competitiveness Seminar:

The SLFI organized a seminar on July 26, 2011 titled “Opportunities for Growth and increased competitiveness: soft loans for small and medium enterprises to reduce energy consumption and environmental waste”. This seminar was part of the syndicate’s efforts to encourage environmentally sound policies in the industry.

Washington Fancy Food Show:

A Lebanese delegation constituted of six companies participated in Washington Fancy Food Show from July 10 to 12, 2011. In order to prepare for the participation, the SLFI organized a workshop for the participants.

In Partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Lebanon Business Linkages Initiative (LBLI), the Syndicate of Lebanese Food Industries (SLFI) invited all members interested in doing business, or expanding their business in the Arab Gulf market, to a workshop that was held on June 30th, 2011 at the SLFI premises in Sin el Fil

Gulfood Exhibition Dubai:

Thirty Lebanese companies participated in the Lebanese Pavilion at the Gulfood Exhibition in Dubai from February 27 to March 2, 2011. The Exhibition was visited by 55,000 visitors who inspected 81 pavilions from 152 countries where 3800 exhibitors displayed their products and services.
